Newark Tornadoes





Originally the Orange Tornadoes.  The team moved to Newark in 1929 and played their games in Schools Stadium.  The franchise was sold back to the NFL in 1931.  The franchise was then bought by a Boston syndicate in 1932 and was renamed the Boston Braves.  The next year the team was renamed the Boston Redskins.  In 1936 the franchise was moved to Washington D. C.
